Ann Aschoff

University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics

I have been working in heart rhythm disorders for 25 years. I started in this specialty at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where I spent the first 10 years of my career. After 15 valuable years in private practice cardiology, I rejoined the University of Iowa in the Heart and Vascular Center. to be back at UIHC. My work is very rewarding – the patients are fascinating, and treatments satisfying. Our primary goal is to provide individualized and personalized care to our patients with heart rhythm disorders, and to help them achieve the best health possible. In the face of the opioid crisis, I have renewed my passion to work in Mental Health as well, and am pursuing my Psychiatric Mental Health Certification for NPs, in order to work closely with folks struggling with substance use disorders.
