Description

Geri Louise Dimas is an assistant professor at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and the co-director of the Stopping Trafficking and Modern-day exploitation Project lab (STAMP) at the Institute for the Quantitative Study of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (QSIDE). Her research focuses on applying analytics to inform and support decision makers in both the governmental and non-governmental (NGO) sectors. She primarily works in domains involving vulnerable populations with a special interest in supporting efforts to combat human trafficking. She has been working in the anti-human trafficking movement since 2018, focusing her efforts on understanding the challenges and exploring opportunities for data and analytics in this field. She has a Ph.D. in data science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a master’s in applied statistics from Bowling Green State University, and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and actuarial science from Roosevelt University.
