Description

Crystal is the CEO and Founder of Living on Purpose as well as the Founder and Executive Director of SheRecovery. With over 15 years of ministry, coaching, and counseling experience, Crystal is regarded as a pioneer and expert in the field of female pornography and sexual addiction. She is also a master’s level pastoral counselor and certified life coach. In 2009, Crystal established a virtual community, now named SheRecovery, for women facing pornography and sexual addiction—reaching participants from more than 70 countries. When Crystal established Living on Purpose in 2018, virtual counseling, coaching, and spiritual care services were added and became the parent organization for SheRecovery. Crystal’s first book Dirty Girls Come Clean (2011) was the first to specifically address female pornography addiction recovery for women and has been used as a resource by numerous universities and college groups. Her second book 90 Days to Wholeness (2015) was adapted for a YouVersion reading plan in 2021 with over 20,000 subscribers to date. Her additional works include Dating Done Right: Pursuing Relationships on Purpose (2019) and a collaboration with Covenant Eyes titled New Fruit: A Woman’s Guide to Porn Recovery (2020). She holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University and numerous certifications from the American Association of Christian Counselors. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, ABC News, CNN, Christianity Today, The 700 Club, and more. Crystal resides in the Kansas City area with her husband Tim.
