Dr. Thomas Nelson, Director of the Melton Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of South Alabama, is a recognized leader in helping businesses and students tackle complex challenges using AI. As the founder of Sage & Guide Consulting, he assists small to mid-sized businesses in implementing large language models, enhancing employee training, and crafting effective business strategies. Having developed and delivered entrepreneurial programs at multiple universities and companies, Dr. Nelson empowers organizations to harness AI's transformative power. Holding three degrees in entrepreneurship, he is also proud of his honorary degree in chemistry, awarded for the development of his signature cocktail, the Chocolate Covered Cherry Old Fashioned.
