Matt Godsted is a Cybersecurity Strategy Architect at the Kroger Co. Prior to his role, Matt was the Director of Enterprise Security, Governance and Risk Management at 84.51°where he had responsibility for HIPAA Regulatory Compliance, Third Party Risk Management, Security Governance, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. Matt also was an Assistant Vice President at Western & Southern Financial Group where he oversaw the IT Business Operations organization and managed Identity and Access Management, Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity, IT Vendor Management, and Enterprise Computer Operations. Matt also has held IT leadership roles at The Kroger Co. as a General Manager in Kroger Technology, with responsibility for Windows Server Engineering, Virtualization, Enterprise Storage, Backup Recovery & Archive, and Server Based Computing teams. Matt also was a Senior Director / CISO at KnowledgeWorks Foundation, where he led the Technology and Infrastructure team and had overall responsibility for Information Security. Matt is Vice President of the Carnegie Board of Directors, a member of the INTERalliance Board of Directors as well as serving on NKU College of Informatics Dean’s Advisory Board. Matt also is a musician and is actively involved in the annual sellout Suits that Rock fundraiser as well Rock IT, which brings together rock music and Information Technology professionals for the annual Cincinnati IT Symposium, organized by the CIO Roundtable. Matt graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (a far stretch from Information Technology) from Western Kentucky University.
