Michelle is a Neonatal Nurse with 37 years of clinical experience and is the founder of “Neonatal Excellence”. Her career has encompassed a strong clinical background in the NICU, to include Transport Nursing, both ground and flight, and has extensive leadership experience at the System Director level for greater than 20 years. She has consulted throughout the United States in many NICU’s helping new leaders grow and thrive in their role to lead their units and staff toward the mission of excellence and developing their professional practice. Michelle has committed herself to the work of Neonatal Neurodevelopment and Neuroprotection for the last 18 years and is a sought after speaker and consultant in this field. Michelle has taught and lectured internationally sharing her passion and expertise in the areas of Neurodevelopment, Neuroprotective Unit Design, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome and Nursing Leadership. Michelle is a native Floridian and lives in FL with her husband. They are the proud parents of two amazing sons and she enjoys gardening, boating, the beach, and antiquing.
