Michelle has been a NICU nurse for 12 years, the last 4 of which have been spent as a NICU CNS. Currently, she is working at the CNS for the Neonatal Region, including the NICU, the Intermediate Care Nusery and the Special Care Nursery at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Previously, she was at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) in San Francisco, CA. Michelle leads the Local Improvement Team efforts in the Neonatal Region as well as the CLABSI reduction team and various other Quality Improvement Projects. Michelle has completed Team Stepps Training and is passionate about team work, collaboration and positive communicaiton and professionalism in nursing. Michelle has also completed The Ohio State University Center for Transdisciplinary Evidence-Based Practice (CTEP) 5 day immersion program, which furthered her passion for Evidence-Based Practice. Michelle is married to her wonderful husband, David and when they aren't working out together, they can likely be found either at a baseball diamond watching their son, Leo, play baseball or at the gym watching their daughter, Alex, practice her gymnastics.
