Cyrus Rustomji obtained his Ph.D. with a concentration in novel Liquefied Gas Electrolytes for Electrochemical Energy Storage Devices (i.e. Li Metal battery and Electrochemical Double Layer Capacitors). Concurrent with his Ph.D. studies, he worked for Space Micro, a San Diego start-up company, from 2013-2014 as a Material Scientist and helped lead new product development and packaging for space-level nano fabricated electrical components. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., he worked with Cooper Bussmann (now Eaton) from 2010-2013 as a Material Scientist and Development Engineer on research and development for the PowerStor product line with focus in new product development, packaging, and improved electrolytes and electrodes for increased energy, power and life of Electrochemical Capacitor devices. He obtained his M.S. in Material Science with a focus in unique nano architectures for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells. Prior to his graduate studies, he joined ZPower and worked on electrode development for rechargeable Silver-Zinc batteries. He has seven issued and pending patents related to electrochemical energy storage devices.
