
Beverly Ayling-Smith
Beverly is an artist and researcher whose Doctoral thesis examined how cloth can be used as a metaphor for loss and connect with the emotions of the viewer. Beverly has exhibited widely in both the UK and internationally; she has work in the Whitworth Art Gallery collection in the UK and in collections in the USA. She has had her research published in the UK and been a speaker at international conferences. She has been an Associate Research Fellow at the International Textile Research Centre at the University for the Creative Arts since 2016.
Beverly's presentation will be "Cloth and Memory".

Eszter Bornemisza
Eszter Bornemisza is a fibre artist living in Budapest, working with recycled paper and textiles. The basic process of her creation is machine stitching, with printing, dyeing, and painting. She also creates 3D objects from her self-made paper pulp of rush and sedge.
Her works have been exhibited in juried and solo shows around the world, won prizes, and were featured in numerous art books and journals.
Eszter's presentation is "Connection to Place".

Damss (Daniela Arnoldi and Marco Sarzi-Sartori)
DAMSS (Daniela Arnoldi and Marco Sarzi-Sartori) creates enormous installations. Their work defies categorisation. It straddles sculpture and design, abstract and figurative.

Etn (Christina Leitner and Andreas Selzer)
Christina Leitner studied textile education, textile art & design, philosophy & and museology in Austria. In her artistic work, she specialised in paper textiles. She was involved in building up the Textile Centre Haslach, which she has headed as scientific director since 2012. She also teaches at Kunstuniversität Linz. Since 2015, she has been Chairwoman of ETN.
Andreas Selzer graduated from the Textile School Spengergasse in Vienna and worked for many years as a sales and production manager for several European textile companies. He was involved in building up the Textile Centre Haslach, which he now leads as director of economics and production. Since 2015, he has been Secretary of ETN.
They will present their work at the European Textile Network and Textile Centre Haslach.

Kinga Földi
Hungarian textile artist Kinga Földi is based in Budapest and was a costume designer before she became a full-time artist. Nature provides the inspiration for her beautiful silk sculptures, which are constructed from hundreds of pin-tucks. She aims for her sculptures to be “soul-resting objects in an accelerated modern world.”
Kinga's keynote speech will be "Living Textile Objects".

Ilze Godlevskis • Textile Artist
Ilze Godlevskis
Ilze Godlevskis is a contemporary textiles artist specialised in manual industrial knitting and colour composition. With a background in fashion design, she graduated from Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design with a degree in Fashion – Knitwear, in London, England; from there, she went on to expand her artisan knitwear skills in Milan, Italy.
Ilze will moderate the "European Textile & Fibre Arts Panel" with speakers Beatrijs Sterk (Holland/Germany), Maja Gecic (Serbia), and Jonatan Jurkowski (Poland).

Cas Holmes
Cas Holmes is a British artist, author and tutor of Romani heritage specialising in textile work with found materials. She trained in fine art and is interested in interdisciplinary projects in community and gallery settings to demonstrate the accessibility of mixed media textile processes. Her practice centres on the use of sustainable materials and themes surrounding issues of identity and place.

Susan Hotchkis
By using print techniques and machine stitch, Susan Hotchkis creates two- and three-dimensional abstract wall pieces, saturated with colour and stitch to highlight the beauty found in the processes of aging and
decay.
She has exhibited nationally and internationally and has undertaken private commissions as well as been included in several publications. She is a member of Quilt Art and Edge Textiles Scotland.
Susan will present "Process of Transformation".

Raija Jokinen • Fiber artist
Tmi Raija Jokinen
Finnish fibre artist Raija Jokinen, holds a Master of Arts degree. She makes unique artworks blending drawing, painting, papermaking, and textile techniques. With over 200 exhibitions, she's earned 12 awards and gained recognition in international publications and websites.
In 2022, a book, "Regard d'artiste Raija Jokinen," was published in France, showcasing her artistic work. Raija's pieces portray humans, animals, and plants to depict human intricate connections to our surroundings and nature.
Raija's presentation will be "Fibre as Line and Paint".

Susie Koren
British textile artist Susie Koren undertook the City & Guild Quilting Diploma in 2000 having initially studied Interior Design at Chelsea Art School. Working from her Sussex studio, her quilts are exhibited internationally and at home. Her work has been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Royal West of England Academy and London Discerning Eye, amongst others. Awards include Fine Art Quilt Masters and Royal Cambrian Academy Selectors Prize.
Observational research fieldtrips to the Outer Hebrides, Norwegian Arctic, Cornwall connect her with coastlines that influence her muted palette and people with shared creative traditions deeply rooted in historical heritage.
Susie's keynote speech will be "A Sense of Place - Connecting People & Land Through Cloth".
