Exploring the Intercultural and Diversity & Inclusion Fields: Bridging Boundaries or One Approach?

Thu Oct 19, 2017
3:50 PM - 5:05 PM
Kona Room

Description

Have you ever wondered where the Intercultural field and the world of Diversity & Inclusion meet, connect, or are different? Do you distinguish yourself as a practitioner or scholar of one field and not the other, or have heard others do so? Do you have questions about what defines an initiative to be intercultural vs. diversity and inclusion, and domestic vs. global, or some other dichotomy? Join us for a session where we explore the finer points about these questions and examine how and if boundaries between these two fields exist, if they are blurring, or if they are (becoming) non-existent.  Hear opinions and firsthand accounts from established specialists in these fields who have come to innovative and distinct approaches in their own worlds of work.
