Learn how a university in Puebla, Mexico (UPAEP) developed a globalized educational model based on the research summarized in the Global Competence Model™ and results from the Global Competence Aptitude Assessment (GCAA)®. The global competence of students from feeder high schools, as well as undergraduate, and graduate students was measured. Faculty and administrators were also assessed as they lead globalization efforts. The presenters will explain global competence and how assessment results can be applied to strategic planning to meet the needs of all stakeholders. Results will be compared across different subsets (high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as faculty and administrators). Learn how assessment metrics can objectively indicate curricular, programmatic, and professional development improvement opportunities. In addition, the presenters will provide a strategy for measuring the effectiveness and impact of globalized initiatives, progress thus far, and a model for institutional/organizational change, as well as discussion and Q&A opportunities.
