The Title IX Coordinator is responsible for equal opportunity, harassment, and nondiscrimination compliance related to Title IX, and manages the College’s compliance laws and executive orders at the federal and state level, including Title IX, the Violence Against Women’s Act, the Illinois Preventing Sexual Violence in Higher Education Act, and the Illinois Human Rights Act. The Title IX Coordinator assists with the Jeanne Clery Act compliance.
The Title IX Coordinator oversees policy development, investigation, training, and reporting, and monitor the application of Lake Forest College policies and relevant laws to ensure that the College’s procedures are compliant. These include but are not limited to establishing and maintaining a centralized process for reporting and monitoring the equal opportunity, harassment, and nondiscrimination policy, facilitating a resolution process for complaints that is timely, fair, and neutral for all parties, and prohibiting retaliation. The role works to keep current and implement the College’s relevant policies, and to advocate for a safe and respectful environment for all campus constituents.
