System Director, Center for Non-Invasive Imaging

This unique opportunity is for a nationally recognized clinician and researcher who will be responsible for the oversight, development and coordination of all system wide initiatives in imaging and in particular echocardiography.

The Center for Non-Invasive Imaging is one of the largest Centers in the Institute. The Director will work collaboratively with leadership across Harrington HVI and UH system in transforming access and care for patients with needs for imaging. Overarching responsibilities will include growing our robust non-invasive imaging service line in echocardiography, nuclear medicine and CT angiography and focusing on value for the health system. Incorporating next generation approaches for non-invasive imaging, re-energizing collaborative research and training of future leaders in imaging would be expected.

The ideal candidate would also be someone with strong leadership skills and a national reputation. Successful candidates are expected to be at the Associate Professor/Professor level for appointment with the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

Academic Director of Coronary Care and Step-down Units

This unique opportunity is for a recognized clinician and researcher who will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of activities in the Coronary Care and Step-Down Units at the University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center, the system's 1,032-bed flagship tertiary-care hospital. In this capacity, the Director will work collaboratively with leadership across the HVI and UH system in transforming access and care for patients across the system with critical care needs.

Overarching responsibilities will include establishing new pathways and paradigms of critical care that emphasizes value for the health system, bringing novel approaches for treatment of acutely ill cardiovascular patients, re-energizing research, collaboration and training of future leaders in critical care cardiology. The ideal candidate are expected to be at the Assistant Professor level for appointment with the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and exhibit exemplary clinical skills and interest/experience in critical care cardiology.

UH CMC is home to world class clinical programs in advanced heart failure, advanced imaging (CT/MR), interventional/structural and arrhythmia services. This opportunity is for motivated physicians interested in regional and national impact, through building a high volume practice focused on quality and patient satisfaction. Inpatient time may be required depending on the location. The ideal candidate would be someone with a strong interest in general/preventive cardiology with Level 2 Echo/Nuclear training. Director Cardio-Oncology Program

The Center for Advanced Heart Failure at University Hospitals (UH), Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute and the Seidman Cancer Center, are seeking to hire an exceptional candidate at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with expertise in cardio-oncology, to serve as the Director of the Cardio-Oncology Program. The Program director will be an outstanding clinician with charisma who is an emerging and/or upcoming academic leader in the field. Expertise in areas specific to cardio-oncology such as genomics, precision medicine or application of specialized bioinformatic tools and AI/Machine-Learning (ML) or health services research would be an advantage. The Seidman Cancer Center is a nationally ranked Comprehensive Cancer Center with world-class cancer expertise across the translational research spectrum.

The Harrington HVI Cardio-oncology Program, founded in 2013, cares for over 1,500 patients a year in close partnership with the Seidman Cancer Center, at three distinct sites within our integrated System. Our Program has published protocols, advanced echo and MRI capabilities, and a comprehensive clinical database. The Program is supported by an administrator, a clinical coordinator, and advanced practice providers and nurses with programmatic support from Seidman Cancer Center.

The candidate should be BC/BE in cardiology with interest/expertise in cardio-oncology and will be expected to continue the Program’s growth in the outpatient and inpatient arena, accelerate its academic output, and continue to provide world-class service to the cancer patients of Northeast Ohio and beyond.
