Postdoc Position in Automated Process Improvement
University of Tartu
University of Tartu's Institute of Computer Science is calling for expressions of interest from recent or soon-to-be PhD graduates for a Postdoc Research Fellow position in the ERC project "The Process Improvement Explorer: Automated Discovery of Business Process Improvement Opportunities" (PIX). This project will develop algorithms to analyze business process execution data in order to discover business process improvement opportunities, including opportunities for control-flow optimization, task automation, resource optimization, and decision optimization. If retained for this position, you will become part of a cross-disciplinary team, including experts in BPM, process mining, machine learning, and optimization. During your postdoc, you will develop methods to train and use predictive models to reduce defects and other types of wastes in a business process, as well as methods optimizing decision rules with respect to different types of performance measures.

To apply, you must have a PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline (or be close to obtaining your PhD). Expertise in BPM, data mining and/or optimization are essential. The position will be fixed-term for two or three years. Remuneration will be up to 2600 euros/month. Estonia applies a flat income tax of 20% on salaries and provides health insurance for employees.

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a full time tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an expected start date of August 2020. Of particular interest are applicants with backgrounds in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Social Computing, Business Process Management and/or Decision Sciences. This position is part of the School’s strategic plan of hiring three to five faculty members annually over the next few years.
