Director, Supplier Diversity

The Director, Supplier Diversity is focused on recruiting, managing, and supporting diverse suppliers, and driving member contract uptake. This work includes managing strategic contracts and relationships and working with the Senior Director to:
-Manage diverse suppliers through the sourcing process for SEEDS Contract Consideration mid-contract cycle.
-Ensure Federal compliance factors are being communicated and represented.
-New processes are developed and implemented to educate staff on supplier diversity issues.
-Schedule contract management meetings to ensure diverse suppliers have support to grow scale with Premier members.
-Collaborate with marketing team to develop communication to share success stories (Premier, suppliers and members) internally and externally.
-Liaise with sourcing Service Lines such as Medical/Surgi, Surgical Services, Nursing, Facilities, etc. to move the supplier diversity strategy forward.
-Strong regional engagement and supplier diversity program communication. Assists in developing and implementing strategies to increase supplier diversity performance for the organization through working directly with the various leaders (internal and external business units.)
-Analysis and review of detailed performance results and available reports, then interpreting and explaining findings and trends to the all stakeholders so that they can re-assess and make necessary adjustments to meet Premier supplier diversity goals.
-Review key strategies that support third-party certification practices and supplier diversity sourcing efforts to increase buy-in to support the national and SEEDS sourcing process.
-Develop the relationship with the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA) to support Premier’s supplier diversity goals.
-Review and update supplier profile information with current third-party certification expiration dates.

Execute and advance I&D strategy that drives a culture of inclusion, innovation, associate engagement, and customer engagement and experience through collaboration and programmatic efforts

Identify and examine industry trends, best practices, and related external considerations, leverage to influence and support organizational change related to I&D

Develop and facilitate I&D related educational opportunities and awareness raising for merchandising department, buyers, and vendor partners,

Develop, coordinate, and support I&D related events

Qualifications :

At least 3-5 years successful experience in an Inclusion & Diversity function, or related role (Learning and Development, Supplier Diversity, Talent Management, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prior experience of supplier diversity or vendor diversity concepts

Prior knowledge of I&D concepts and experience influencing change in a large organization

Reports to the VP of DE&I and partners closely with all members of the DE&I team, and internal and external stakeholders to execute equity and inclusion goals across various business areas and functions.
