As a member of the Administration team, the Unit Coordinator will support key PAETC leadership, and perform other office functions such as logistical support for visitors and trainings, coordination of the PI’s UCSF and Department committee work, and support of the preparation of progress reports and grant submissions. Job Description:
The Program Manager will help design and implement a new HIV Data to Care (D2C) project under the Arizona AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) in the Division of Infectious Disease, Department of Medicine. Data to Care is a public health strategy that (1) uses a variety of data sources to identify persons living with HIV who are in need of medical care and (2) facilitates linkages to care services. The overall goal of D2C is to increase the retention of patients in medical care and to suppress viral rates of persons living with HIV.

The Program Manager will be charged with developing a system to identify individuals living with HIV who are not in care. This will require crosschecking databases, checking-in with last known care provider, and may include outreach to clients. He/she will develop a system that will efficiently operationalize this process in accordance to privacy laws and regulations. He/she will work in close partnership with the AETC program director to foster relationships with key stakeholders, including local health departments, care providers, and community organizations.

The Program Manager will conduct investigations for individuals presumed to be not in HIV medical care and document their disposition. He/she will evaluate efficiency and efficacy of the funded program, make recommendations for improvement and assist with all reporting requirements. The Program Manager will initially be responsible for implementing all aspects of the program. As the project scales up, he/she will recruit, hire, and supervise additional staff. The ideal candidate has a high-level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to analyze information, problem solve, and make decisions.
