Catholic Charities is seeking licensed individuals to provide clinical counseling services in Camden, NJ. The ideal candidate would be comfortable working with people throughout the life cycle and would be comfortable providing, individual, couple, family, and group therapy using a trauma-based, systems therapy model. Catholic Charities is a faith-based agency with a strong value around supporting and strengthening families. LCSWs are especially needed to work with clients who have Medicare as their primary insurance. Hours are flexible. An LCSW with an interest in assisting with Supervision and Quality Assurance activities would be a huge plus. Also a plus is someone who is able to speak Spanish.

SUMMARY:
The Addictions Healing Services Coordinator will work with three broad populations to provide an inspired, energetic response to the opioid crisis, specifically, and to addictions issues more generally. These include:
1. Parishes, including parish staff and those assisting with parish based addictions ministries;
2. Catholic Charities staff including program directors, case managers, and clinicians
3. People with addictions and their families

The Addictions Healing Services Coordinator will help build additional capacity in responding to and preventing addictions issues by developing on-going collaboration between Catholic Charities and diocesan parishes and with other diocesan ministries. Additionally he/she will help to coordinate Catholic Charities’ response to all those impacted by addictions in all of Catholic Charities’ programs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working with Parishes

1. Identify parish-based addictions ministry programs/curricula based in Catholic spirituality, and assist in introducing them to parishes

2. Coordinate agency sponsored training(s) for parish representatives to assist them in launching their parish based addictions ministries
3. Develop a comprehensive list of list of all the addictions ministry programs and resources in the parishes of the diocese

4. Convene the various parish based addictions ministry programs for support and education

5. Enhance Catholic Charites’ broader parish engagement efforts
6. Create regular, on-going opportunities to engage with parishes so as to ensure that they view Catholic Charities as a helpful resource
7. Collaborate with the Parish Assistance Coordinator to respond to calls from parishes regarding all matters related to addictions
8. Develop trainings for parishes that focus on family support and treatment for addicted persons.
Working with Catholic Charities Staff and Clients

1. Build and develop Catholic Charities’ capacity to provide addiction healing

Assesses, diagnoses, intervenes with and plans for social work services related to patient and family bio-psycho-social needs
and behaviors. Integrates assessment using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into plan of
care in order to implement transition plans and treatments. Acts as active team member in the care management of patients with
behavioral health, palliative care and socioeconomic needs. Coordinates the transition from post acute facilities to home with
needed resources to achieve the desired outcome. Refers patients/families and care givers to appropriate resources regarding
abuse/neglect/domestic violence, alcohol and substance abuse. Performs appropriate clinical interventions related to grief
counseling, bereavement, adjustment, crisis intervention in order to support the care coordination and increase patient/family
coping skills.

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in Social Work (MSW)
LCADC or one year of substance abuse experience in behavioral health/treatment.
Social Worker - Licensed
Clinical training in a medical/clinical environment; knowledge of spreadsheet and word
precessing software
