Board of Director - Treasurer (volunteer position)
Faith Action for Community Equity Faith Action for Community Equity (Faith Action) is a grassroots, interfaith 501(c)3 non-profit organization driven by a deep spiritual commitment to improving the quality of l... ife for our members and all Hawaii people. We address the root causes of social justice challenges facing our community through our common values and collective power. We are the only organization of its kind in Hawaii. Description of Position: ● Oversee Faith Action's finances. ● Keep a record of the fiscal accounts. ● Provide financial updates to the Board of Directors at board meetings. ● Work with Unit Investment Drive and Corporate Investment Drive chairs to advise and help in the drives’ success. ● Work with Executive Director to create an annual budget. Time Commitment: ● Quarterly Executive Committee (Board of Directors officers + task force chairs) meetings last about 1-1.5 hours each. Subject to change. ● Executive Director regularly checks in with the officers, especially the treasurer, to keep them in the loop. Required Qualifications: ● Needs to be a member of Faith Action. ● Ability to complete tasks promptly. Preferred Qualifications: ● Previous experience serving on nonprofit Board of Directors as a Treasurer. ● CPA credentials.
