This team member will be a key part of how we keep families together and provide intensive case management and interconnected programs to meet their needs.

The Grant Writer oversees the process and production of all materials related to the grant application process. Duties include identifying and qualifying prospects, writing proposals and reports, collecting research and data, developing grant budgets, and gathering all relevant
documents from a variety of departments to submission.

The Grant Writer Coordinates and writes grant proposals for government, corporate and foundation funds. He/she develops and maintains effective, long-term working relationships with
grantors to facilitate approval of grants. The Grant Writer also completes timely reports for grants awarded.

The Grant Writer reports to the Executive Director with input from the Board Chair and Development Director and ensures alignment of all grant documents and reports with the New Orleans Women & Children’s Shelter’s overall mission and goals.
