Family Resource Advocate

Join our Team! The Youth and Education Office entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with First Things First (FTF) to implement four Family Resource Centers (FRC) in specific targeted communities to serve as community hubs. This position will coordinate and facilitate early education programs, offer information and resources to families with children birth to five years old.

Within the City of Phoenix, there are four Phoenix Families First Resource Centers (PFFRC). These sites offer a variety of early education services that will assist in targeting the needs of the varying families. Families will receive referrals for services and parenting activities. There are four main areas of engagement:

Our Family Resource Advocates develop relationships with families, work collaboratively to create and implement programming, conduct follow up; conduct outreach to partners; establish relationships for referrals, use resource tools to help develop family goals; conduct some professional development, coordinate and facilitate parent and child activities, complete reports, monitor data, review and consider suggestion box, facilitate parent advisory committee meetings, and develop recruitment plans.
Family Resource Advocates must have the ability to work some nights and weekends.

Temporary Triple P Program Specialist - City of Tempe
City of Tempe Human Services
The City of Tempe Human Services Department is seeking a part-time (10-15 hrs/wk), temporary employee to serve as the Triple P Program Specialist to implement the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) with parents of children ages 0-12. The Triple P Program Specialist will provide Level 3 Discussion Group at various locations during the Triple P programmatic year. Training provided if not currently Triple P Level 3 accredited. In addition, Level 2 Seminar may be provided based on requests from community partners.

Forensic Interviewer
Prevent Child Abuse Arizona - Yavapai Family Advocacy Center
The Forensic Interviewer is a child welfare professional who interviews child and adult victims of reported sexual abuse, domestic violence, physical abuse/neglect and/or sex trafficking.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Forensic Interviewer (FI)'s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting neutral, fact-finding, and developmentally appropriate investigative interviews of abused and neglected children and vulnerable adults.
• Coordinating with Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) members prior to and after interviews, and providing investigation findings to MDT members during case review. The MDT consists of the YFAC Director, YFAC Victim Advocates, law enforcement, Department of Child Safety, Yavapai County Attorneys, Medical SANEs (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners), mental health professionals and other community professionals.
• Following guidelines established through the Arizona Advanced Forensic Interview Training and the Yavapai County Child Abuse Investigation protocols.
• Maintaining client confidentiality.
• Testifying in court cases of child abuse and neglect. The FI will have the ability to provide expert witness testimony regarding recorded interviews and written reports they have completed. The FI will ensure documentation meets legal requirements and multi-agency needs.
• Keeping accurate records and completing timely reports regarding all interviews conducted.
• Representing YFAC to the public and assisting with community outreach and training activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Program Coordinator, Policy & Practice
Arizona Council of Human Service Providers
This is a new position for the Council and is a hybrid role, one that will have 2 focal points, Policy and Practice. The first area of focus is on Policy work. This position will work closely with the Director of Child Welfare Policy, and the CEO, on establishing public policy priorities and facilitating system change efforts that impact our members. This includes design and implementation of adopted legislative goals, providing information and education about public policy issues to our member organizations, state agency staff, legislators, and other community partners. There will be an emphasis on building relationships with DCS, AHCCCS, DHS and DES, as well as the Health Plans across AZ.

The second area of focus will be on the Practice side of things. This position will work with the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the Foundation, and the CEO, on a variety of projects for both the Council and the Foundation. The Program Coordinator for Policy and Practice will be trained to become a Neurosequential Model in Caregiving (NMC) facilitator and assist the Director of Strategic Initiatives in building and supporting the NMC programs of the Foundation. The Program Coordinator will also be part of the Council team that works collectively on projects such as website maintenance, efforts to enhance our social media footprint, and conference and event planning.
