Bicyclist and Pedestrian Program Coordinator
Ada County Highway District
Primary Duties:

The Bicyclist & Pedestrian Program Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing the District’s various projects and programs pertaining to biking and walking facilities and policies.
The incumbent serves as Program Manager for the District’s Community Programs, provides staff support to the District’s Bicycle Advisory Committee and Pedestrian Advisory Group, provides input on biking and walking aspects of projects, and prepares reports, metrics, and policy guidance related to implementation of the District’s Bicycle Master Plan, Neighborhood Plans, and Integrated Five-Year Work Plan.
The incumbent will collaborate and partner with six cities, unincorporated Ada County, citizen advisory committees, consultants, neighborhood associations, mobility-impaired groups, other government agencies, the general public and other District employees.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking to add an exceptional, enthusiastic writer and editor to our team. The League is an
association of individuals, organizations, and businesses powering the bike movement to improve lives
and through better bicycling nationwide, in all communities. Supporting this network of advocates is at
the core of the League’s work; we amplify their voices for better bicycling at all levels, and inspire action
through storytelling and communications. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for using
communications to strengthen the work to make bicycling a safe, comfortable, and accessible option for
all people.

The Communications Coordinator will be based in the League’s Washington, DC office, but currently and
in the near future working remotely. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense for storytelling, and
the ability to craft clear messaging that conveys policy ideas in everyday terms. A primary role will be
liaising with program directors to implement the League's communications strategy led by the
communications director. Specific responsibilities will focus on producing resources for advocates,
disseminating information via multiple channels, and organizing resources online.

Active Transportation & Bike Mechanics Instructor

PEAC is a non-profit that empowers and advocates for individuals with disabilities through active modes of transportation, including biking, bussing, and walking.

We are looking for a qualified and motivated individual who is interested in educating students with disabilities on how to repair bicycles and travel safely in their communities via cycling, public transportation, and walking. Prior experience as a bike mechanic is a plus but not required. Retail experience is also a plus. A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently are musts. We are offering the position as part time or full time, from 8 to 40 hours per week. Short Trips Event Coordinator

Adventure Cycling Association seeks a detail-oriented, collaborative person with excellent communication skills to fill the role of Short Trips Events Coordinator. The Coordinator will organize two annual events and a volunteer Ambassador program, with a focus on making bicycle travel more accessible to a broader audience, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQ people, and women, in eight metropolitan areas (Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C.) in 2021. The Short Trips initiative aims to create accessible routes from urban areas and a network of supportive Ambassadors, with plans to expand to up to 30 metro areas by 2023.
