Communications Lead and Network Weaver
Our Living Waters
The Communications Lead and Network Weaver takes on a variety of responsibilities in support of the OLW Network. The emphasis on this role is twofold. First, in collaboration with other staff, to articulate the brand of Our Living Waters—that is, the unique niche we fill—and then lead the design and execution of creative ways to tell the OLW brand story. Second, the role requires you to make connections across the OLW Network and with potential Network members. This is not a role that focuses on communicating to the general public.

This role is suited for someone who thrives on engaging members within a Network through creative outreach, communications and storytelling, ‘weaving’ members together to build an engaged membership and to catalyze collaboration and relationships amongst members. The role will require you to intimately understand how the OLW shared measurement system can unify OLW Network members, so that you can creatively communicate to members how their unique contributions to freshwater health in Canada fits into the larger picture. This is a role that takes place out of your home office. The Communications Lead and Network Weaver reports to the Director of OLW and is best suited to someone who is self-driven and motivated by the ambitious goal of Our Living Waters: all waters in Canada in good health by 2030.
