Assist market staff with set up, tear down, and operations at Puyallup Farmers market on Saturdays from April to October. Start time of 6 AM to approximately 3 PM during the market season. Set up includes assisting vendors at check in, set up market booth, delineate market space, set out signage, etc. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be 16 or older. Must be able to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions. Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with all sorts of people. Provide a brief work history and references. $16/hr.

Under the direction of the ED, the Mobile Market Operator will work with the Mobile Market Program Coordinator, Mobile Market Americorps VISTA, and Food Access Intern in performing outreach and engagement with local farms, small food businesses, community partners, and neighborhood residents to source and sell affordable, healthy food through the Fresh Express. Goals for the position include:
• Increase access to healthy and culturally appropriate food for at least 2,000 Pierce County residents
• Create systems for inventory management, food safety protocols, market reconciliation, and vehicle maintenance
• Build market sales to achieve self-sustaining program revenue in 2023
• Strengthen existing community partnerships and build new relationships with organizations and individuals in Low-Income, Low-Supermarket Access areas
