Position Summary: WithinReach is often the first point of contact for Washington families and individuals seeking information about public benefits and local resources. The Bilingual Family Support Specialist provides developmental screening and connects families with young children to child development and parenting support resources. They help families navigate early childhood systems and programs and provide culturally sensitive support. The Bilingual Family Support Specialist will be trained by WithinReach staff on telephone casework, early childhood subjects, and relevant early childhood systems of care, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, data collection, and best practices for resource navigation.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Process completed Ages & Stages Questionnaires and share results with families
Provide early childhood and development information and systems navigation including follow-up as needed
Process and troubleshoot internal and external referrals to Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) in King County (program is also known as Early Intervention or Birth to Three)
Maintain up-to-date information on ESIT referral pathways, such as provider capacity and information updates
Loop back with referring providers and provide an update on the status of the referral
Track client interactions and resource information provided in multiple client management systems
Attend internal teams meetings and meetings with other providers and partner organizations
Coordinate and assist with trainings for WithinReach team members and external providers
Maintain internal process documents and provide program support to other staff

Information Management Specialist

This position leads the development, implementation, and management of information and communication systems use to support a coordinated healthcare system response across the nineteen counties and four tribes of eastern Washington. A primary function of this position is to act as the WATrac System Administrator for eastern Washington (east of Cascades to Idaho state line) and is responsible for state planning with the WATrac strategic plan. Additionally, this position will develop strategies to improve information collection, aggregation, and distribution between healthcare partners during a response using a variety of information sharing tools.

Training and Exercise Coordinator

This position will serve to meet the training and exercise needs of the REDi HCC, serving the healthcare system in and around the 19 counties and 4 tribal nations of eastern Washington. Primary partners will include healthcare partners, public health, emergency management, and emergency medical services. This position will be responsible for the development and implementation of the training and exercise program for the HCC. This position will be involved in the coordination and planning efforts to support REDi HCC response including development, implementation and coordination of plans and standard operating procedures for an effective health care system response to any incident or event impacting the region.

Response Specialist

This position will work to support eastern Washington healthcare system partners from within the Regional Emergency Disaster Healthcare Coalition (REDi HCC) Incident Command Structure for the COVID-19 response and other responses as they occur. This will be done by assisting with execution of response strategies to achieve the evolving incident objectives.

To execute response strategies, this position will support and sometimes lead response activities including, but not limited to, report writing, coordinating and/or facilitating various response-oriented meetings, regularly conducting the REDi Situational Awareness Process and/or Resource Coordination Process, and other functions as needed. This position will work closely with the REDi HCC team to support the healthcare system in eastern Washington as it responds to COVID-19 and other incident that occur over the next year.

SNAP-Ed Extension Coordinator Senior

The Extension Coordinator Senior is responsible for developing and conducting statewide programming the WA SNAP-Ed program. The Senior Coordinator works to identify curriculum for use with diverse audiences and works with local agencies to make sure curriculum is taught with trauma informed principles. The Senior Coordinator develops and presents culturally relevant training to support the statewide WA SNAP-Ed program. The Senior Coordinator is also responsible for developing copy and resources posted on WA SNAP-Ed websites for the WA SNAP-Ed program and ensures that all materials posted represent the diverse communities SNAP-Ed works in. SNAP-Ed Food Access Operations Extension Coordinator, Clallam County

Under general supervision, the Food Access Operations Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and delivering Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP) policy, systems and environmental (PSE) change interventions. In partnership with project stakeholders, including WSU Extension Community Food Security team and the Port Angeles Food Bank, the Food Access Operations Coordinator will provide leadership over the next two years in developing and growing the programming of the new community kitchen of the Port Angeles Food Bank facility expansion. The focus pf the position will be to play a leading role in completing the facility design and equipment purchase/installation. The Food Access Operations Coordinator will be instrumental in creating new operational procedures and food safety plans; recruiting and training program staff and volunteers; and building the logistical and documentation systems necessary to grow the expanded food access program at the Food Bank. The Food Access Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the growth strategy for the Port Angeles Food Bank community kitchen over the next two years. The kitchen will be designed to produce high-quality prepared food to food bank clientele, other community food access points, and institutional markets utilizing excess food bank inventory, excess gleaned produce and ingredients sourced from local farms. The Food Access Operations Coordinator will not be distributing food, but designing the systems and infrastructure to support long-term sustainability of the program. The ideal candidate will have a background in local sourcing, kitchen management, customer service, small business development, and community-based partnerships. This position will report to the WSU Extension Director and be a part of a team larger team working on community food systems and value-chain coordination.

Food Safety Inspector

Environmental Health Specialists (EHS) work within the section of Environmental Public Health (EPH) and are responsible for protecting the health of citizens by enforcing EPH rules and regulations, educating stakeholders, preventing exposure to environmental hazards by promoting healthy natural and built environments within Clark County. This position will be assigned basic job duties associated various food safety inspection types:

• Site Inspections - in coordination with property owners, facility operators, licensed designers and licensed engineers, the EHS may ensure the site matches design and plan criteria. These inspections ensure processes protect the public health and prevent injury.
• Complaint and Foodborne Illness Outbreak Investigation - an EHS will investigate complaints by performing records searches, site visits, interviews of complainants and gathering other pertinent information.
• Enforcement of Regulation - an EHS will, when necessary, initiate enforcement when regulations are not met. The goal is to ensure compliance with public health rules. In many instances, the EHS will partner with other agencies that can improve the process or offer resources to the one with whom enforcement is being pursued.
• Technical Assistance - the EHS will offer technical expertise to property owners, business owners, private industry, real estate agents, developers, partnering agencies, county departments and other stakeholders. This task can include significant research and communication.
The position may be asked to work in other EPH programs as needed. Organizational responsibilities include understanding and promoting the public health mission of the department; providing courteous, respectful, efficient customer service to all Public Health customers; honoring diversity of all department employees and constituents; participating in Emergency Preparedness activities and on-call rotations; striving for personal excellence in public health work.
