We are a leading Court Reporting and Transcription services company and have provided nationwide services for more than 45 years. This position requires an energetic and motivated candidate with the ability to work in an autonomous setting. We hire intelligent, well-rounded people from a variety of backgrounds.
NRGCo provides comprehensive paid training to new hires in order to provide you with the tools necessary to succeed. No prior court reporting experience is required. All equipment hardware and software are provided.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Attend a variety of proceedings at a range of locations (primarily in DC with opportunity for domestic and international travel)
Interact with high-level clients (Federal Govt, State Govt, Private Industry)
Digitally record and report proceedings
Quality control on final work product
Write executive summaries and meeting minutes for a variety of proceedings
Required Skills:

Can-do attitude and excellent work-ethic
Exceptional scholastic record
Ability to work independently
Organizational and time-management aptitude
Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* 60+ wpm typing speed
* Minimum 1 year deposition/EUO transcription experience
* Expert in Microsoft Word
* Experience with multiple audio players and transcript formats
* AAERT certification
SKILLS:
* Ability to complete transcript assignments to an accuracy level of 99%
* Eye for detail, adherence to company and AAERT Best Practices guidelines
* Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to provide an on-time, client-ready product every time
* Able to work independently while executing the task assigned
* Strong critical thinking skills and a can-do attitude when running into a problem
* Strong internet research skills

We are looking for anyone with experience in legal transcription. You do not have to be certified, but we will pay you more if you are. We've been told that we're awesome to work with. Why?
