Texas Department of State Health Services Under the general supervision of the Business Support and Planning (BSP) Recruiting and Retention Manager, with guidance from the program area Team Leads, this position will provide support to the BSP Hiring, Recruiting & Retention teams. Work includes assisting with all aspects of internal and external meetings, serving as the administrative contact for the program area shared mailboxes, assisting with administrative functions for hiring assistance requests, monitoring program budgets, coordinating and entering purchasing requests, and other administrative assignments. Performs senior-level administrative support and technical assistance work. May also coordinate with the BSP Director, BSP Staff Services Officer, and other BSP staff.

Experience in establishing base pay, reviewing and advising on job classification change requests, and salary exception requests. Exercises sound critical thinking and judgment to advise internal and external customers on managing critical, problematic, and/or challenging conditions with focus, ownership, and accountability.
