Assistant Manager of Annual Giving
Georgia Tech Alumni Association
The Georgia Tech Alumni Association is seeking an Assistant Manager of Annual Giving to support multichannel direct marketing efforts for Georgia Tech’s annual fund, also known as Roll Call. The ideal candidate will understand annual giving best practices and have a data-driven mindset and great attention to detail. The Assistant Manager of Annual Giving reports to the Director of Annual Giving.

Responsibilities

- Assist in executing a comprehensive annual calendar of mail, phone, email, text, and other mass solicitations working in collaboration with internal communications partners and external vendors.
- Plan and execute audience selections, segmentation, exports, and output formatting in Blackbaud CRM to support direct marketing efforts.
- Manage other regular processes in Blackbaud CRM to support annual giving direct marketing, stewardship, and other efforts.
- Closely monitor all project timelines and content to assure timely and accurate completion.
- Refine audiences and approaches for direct marketing working in close collaboration with the Director of Annual Giving.
- Utilize tools in Blackbaud CRM for consistently tracking all appeals and communications touchpoints.
- May also actively assist in creation and deployment of email communications via iModules and ThankView and text deployment via SignalVine.

Education and Experience Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years of experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising
- Detail oriented with strong time and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Blackbaud or other CRM systems
- Prefer familiarity with iModules, Thankview, or other mass email platforms
Prefer familiarity with SignalVine or other texting platforms

Manager of Leadership Annual Giving
Georgia Tech Alumni Association
Responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors with the capacity to give $1,000 – $25,000 annually. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, metrics-driven frontline fundraising professional responsible for engaging prospects and soliciting unrestricted support at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels via a variety of methods including personal visits (in person or virtual), phone, email, social media, and text. Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of fundraising best practices and have strong interpersonal, customer service, and communications skills. The Manager of Leadership Annual Giving will supervise the Assistant Manager of Leadership and Volunteer Giving and will report to the Vice President of Annual Giving, Roll Call.

Responsibilities

- Conduct personal solicitations for annual gifts at Roll Call’s Leadership Circle giving levels
- Meet visit and solicitation goals, grow Roll Call’s Leadership Circle, and develop pipeline for major and planned gifts
- Maintain strong relationships with Development staff and Institute leaders
- Collaborate with development officers and generate referrals for volunteer leadership, major gifts, and planned gifts
- Develop a strong understanding of Alumni Association and Georgia Tech programs and priorities
- Support Roll Call goals and initiatives and meet dollar and donor goals for Leadership Circle giving levels
- Provide prompt follow-up to all donor interactions and utilize Blackbaud CRM to track all touchpoints
- Assist in stewardship activities and events for Leadership Circle donors

Prospect Research & Gift Planning Officer

The Prospect Research and Gift Planning Officer will work under the Director of Development or the Executive Director, University Advancement & Philanthropic operations to oversee the implementation of a comprehensive program for planned giving. Position is responsible for the execution of portions of the strategic plan for University Advancement, focusing on identifying, contacting, cultivating, and stewardship of individual prospects with the capacity and interest in an estate gift or other planned vehicle to benefit SSU. In close collaboration with the Vice President of University Advancement, Executive Director for University Advancement, and Director of Development, the officer researches prospect opportunities for the University to identify new prospects, and capacity opportunity within existing constituencies for portfolio compilation of the development team, and, also, manages a portfolio of planned and major gifts prospects assuring that as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to the organization and are upgraded in their giving and involvement.

The candidate should have the skills and know-how to build and manage a comprehensive planned giving program while also actively and continually contributing to overall major and planned gift efforts and strategies; a natural ability to cultivate and sustain relationships; and a style that shows a passion for the cause and also one that is professional, down-to-earth, enthusiastic, credible and confident. Alumni Engagement Coordinator

Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement, the Alumni Engagement Coordinator will manage the Alumni Association’s new virtual engagement platform (Georgia Tech Connect) and support engagement activities for the Engagement department. The coordinator will focus on building growth and engagement within the new online community. Additionally, the coordinator will support the alumni scholarship program.

Georgia Tech Connect is an innovative virtual engagement platform powered by software from PeopleGrove. Much like LinkedIn, Georgia Tech Connect provides a robust platform for alumni and students to connect for professional opportunities, mentoring, and social interactions. It constitutes a significant investment by the Alumni Association and the engagement coordinator will be critical to its successful adoption.

Responsibilities

Manage the Georgia Tech Connect platform

- Create engagement and moderate activity across the platform to form and cultivate communities.
- Monitor approval queues and approve new users on a regular schedule.
- Monitor discussion boards for regular activity; suggest opportunities and ideas for posts to keep the site fresh.
- Coordinate the regular posting of content.
- Manage and monitor event postings.
- Recruit and train alumni volunteers to support the online communities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Strategic Communications, Professional Development, Student Engagement, IT, and campus partners to update information regularly and achieve program goals.
- Track community activity and report critical engagement metrics

Scholarship Program Support

- Collaborate with Financial Aid, Admissions, and the GT Foundation to ensure coordination.
- Provide timely financial and applicant data to alumni scholarship chairs.

Responsibilities
Major/Leadership Gift Fundraising 75%

Actively manage a focused portfolio of major gift prospects and donors by guiding their cultivation, solicitation and stewardship while at the same time setting goals to expand the base of major gift prospects
