The desired candidate will have relevant classroom and working experience, such as civil, environmental or chemical engineering; technical project management; wastewater treatment operations; or water treatment design to the extent that they are familiar with installation and operation of automated water treatment components and the complexities of multi-stage treatment systems.

This salaried position is full-time and we are located in East Lansing, MI. The Project Manager position is hybrid virtual and in-person. Some travel throughout Michigan and the US is expected for this position and the desired candidate will have the flexibility to travel for planned events such as site walks, system startups, and client meetings.

The Field Operations Leader is responsible for providing high quality customer service and smooth product installation and startup. Water Treatment Applications Engineer

Rochem Americas, Inc. primarily serves landfill, mining, and other industrial markets in North America with membrane wastewater treatment systems. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating potential wastewater streams for their treatability using Rochem systems. You will prepare proposals for the sale of Rochem systems, including auxiliary equipment sizing, pricing, and applicability.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Evaluation of customer applications for feasibility
• Performing projections of system capabilities
• Estimating system costs
• Writing proposals and quotations
• Sourcing and quoting spare parts
• Technical position, with a strong sales aspect
• Work with sales and service groups as well as with customers
• Based in South Bay, Los Angeles, some travel, including international will be required

Qualifications
• B.S. in Engineering or a physical Science, Chemical Engineering preferred

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Rochem service technicians with the maintenance and technical troubleshooting of Rochem systems. You will also support the Applications Engineering team with pilot testing and feasibility testing of new customer wastewater streams.

Duties and Responsibilities
• On-Site evaluation of customer applications for feasibility, including pilot and bench testing, including writing of pilot study reports
• Provide on-site assistance to service technicians for system troubleshooting and startup
• Perform physical maintenance of wastewater treatment systems
• Act as liaison between Engineering Group and Service Technician Group

• Remote position, but East Coast/Mid-West location is strongly preferred

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of Rochem equipment for existing and potential customers. You will be trusted and supported to produce quality work by our project managers and given the flexibility to manage your work efforts to achieve project objectives.

Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Technician for water & wastewater treatment systems, primarily reverse osmosis systems located at landfills. Position reports to the Service Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance & repair of membrane filtration systems (electrical / mechanical)
• Support excellent customer relationships
• Operational Analysis and Troubleshooting
• Work with Rochem staff in understanding/diagnosing/correcting issues.
• Commissioning of new systems
• Documentation of work performed
• Domestic and International travel

Qualifications
• Training in mechanics, electronics, or mechatronics
• Electrical experience is required
• Minimum of high school chemistry, water chemistry experience is a plus
• PLC basic competency
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Team player
• Valid passport and driver’s license
• Unconditional willingness to travel at home and abroad
