Work within Palmer Correctional Center Qualifications: Required: Associates degree in human services or a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a related field Ability to: Pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check Qualify for SFA’s commercial automobile insurance A current valid driver’s license Skills required: Great written and verbal communication skills Punctuality reporting to work and in delivery of direct services The ability to: Work as a team member including accepting and providing supervision Establish and maintain clear therapeutic boundaries Build report with clients, staff and the community Basic computer skills including internet navigation and fluid use of electronic communication tools Job responsibilities: Assist potential clients in the completion of the intake packet, connect clients to resources necessary to complete the intake process, notify clients of acceptance Collaborate with the clinical team to engage, communicate, educate, and coordinate care with clients Advocate for clients; educating them regarding substance abuse issues and the impact on their lives Work with clients to assess needs and potential barriers to success Coordinate with counseling team, manage client cases, and provide supports which promote the physical, mental, and spiritual health of the client Communicate and document client progress toward recovery goals Participate in admissions team decisions, advising the team of pertinent information Participate in treatment team meetings, advising the team of any change in client needs and/or service availability Remote work at local correctional facilities, in the community as well as work at the main office Supervision: Re-entry Coordinator will receive direct supervision from the Program Manager

Partners for Progress Position works closely with the Reentry Program Team to provide support to the Employment and Training Program of Partners Reentry Center. Coordinator is responsible for assisting... formerly incarcerated individuals use Partners Job Lab to prepare for the workforce. Coordinator will assist with resumes, job search, job applications, and tests. Position will conduct daily job readiness workshops such as; resume writing, job search strategies, tips for reentering the community and the workforce, community job /certification/skill building, employer expectations and incentives, mock interviews and job tips for success and advancement. Coordinator is responsible for collecting and entering E&T Client data into the State AKAIMS database. The E&T Coordinator will advocate on behalf of Partners Reentry Program and Services, attend trainings and conferences to present Partners Reentry Program.
