The Business Development Specialist is responsible for using their knowledge of the company to develop and maintain relationships to increase the revenue of the organization. Our Flanders organization services lines include drinking water and Radon laboratory analysis and Radon and Drinking water mitigation services. The incumbent maintains prospects and current client relationships with business to government, business-to-business and business-to-consumer opportunities. This role will serve as an ambassador for Protect Environmental and will be tasked with setting up one on one appointments, providing technical solutions presentations, and attending networking events and industry-specific conferences and trade associations. Quote preparation for laboratory services is included in this role. Select support of national and local operations teams to ensure project excellence will be required at times, however primary role is business development. Some national travel will be necessary in this role and also to support the larger Protect Environmental business development effort.

(CEC), you’ll be a key part of project teams working to navigate today’s complex environmental regulatory landscape, helping our commercial, institutional, and energy clients achieve and maintain compliance with those regulations. You’ll supervise junior scientists and lead project work that will include Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, Brownfield investigations and remediation, storm water permitting, SPCC Plans, and air permit compliance. Working with clients, contractors, and local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases through the regulatory review and permitting process.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or Engineering; 5+years of experience participating in Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I & II ESAs) associated with due diligence for real estate transactions; and experience writing technical reports, and Phase I & II ESA reports.
