The Social Science Department invites applications for a Lecturer of Social Work to teach SOCWK 430 – Social Work Practice Methods: Individua... ls, an online, asynchronous course offered over eight weeks during the fall 2022 semester. The course includes one synchronous, required class session on November 16 from 8am to 5pm. The instructor is expected to hold at least two office hours per week. There will be an opportunity to teach SOCWK 440 – Social Work Practice Methods: Groups and Families during the spring 2023 semester, contingent on enrollment and program needs. Both courses are part of the Social Work Professional Certificate offered through the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Minimum / Required Qualifications An MSW from a CSWE-accredited school At least two years post-MSW professional experience Familiarity with social work among individuals, families, and groups A commitment to student learning and development Success working with diverse stakeholders
Other highly desired qualifications include: A PhD from a CSWE-accredited school Experience teaching in an online format Experience teaching adult returning and non-traditional students Demonstrated intercultural competence
