The person in this position will have an opportunity to work closely with staff on both the Assessment and Institutional Research sides of the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. Typical hiring range for this position is $51,000 to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Institutional Research Analyst
Rhode Island School of Design
Rhode Island School of Design is looking for an Institutional Research Analyst to join its Institutional Data & Research Services Office. This office is a central location for collecting, coordinating, and reporting data for and about RISD. It provides data to members of the RISD community in order to facilitate decision-making and campus planning and accreditation, as well as to external sources including the federal government, publications, and various other organizations. With demonstrated competency in social equity and inclusion, the ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of common institutional research and effectiveness measures and the ability to build effective working relationships throughout the college.
The Institutional Research Analyst will apply advanced knowledge and skill in organizing and performing key research projects by collecting, analyzing, reporting, and disseminating key institutional data. Uses querying languages, scripting languages, and tools to design and produce statistical reports, visualizations, dashboards, and metrics that will provide insights and aid in decision-making. Designs, defines, and creates data structures, conventions, methodologies, and display products that will allow rapid qualitative and quantitative analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Serve as a resource and provide recommendations on the execution of data-related projects. Actively engages with and solicits feedback from stakeholders throughout the college to identify, define, carry out, and report on research surveys and studies in response to institutional needs. Responds to internal requests for data and survey design/administration and provides consultative expertise to define, translate, integrate, store and process data that can be used in key performance indicators, compliance indicators, and for academic and administrative business analysis.

Data Governance Analyst

The Data Governance Analyst supports key university data governance functions and reports to the Director of Enterprise Data Governance within the University Decision Support team.
The Data Governance Analyst will work closely with other members of the Data Governance team and members of the Northeastern reporting community. The Analyst will focus on maintaining Northeastern’s metadata tools to improve the contextual support available to members of the university’s reporting and analytic communities. The Analyst will also lead the Data Classification program within Data Governance, partnering with team members from the Office of Information Security in ITS and Compliance in the Office of the General Counsel to maintain and promote the program. The Analyst will participate in and support the Data Quality program and Data Governance forums.
