The principal workload assignment of this position will be to innovate and collaborate on the creation and implementation of Cyber Exercises and activities that utilize the technology of the Ohio Cyber Range. In addition, the Associate Director of Technology and Cyber Exercises will collaborate with the technology team to position the OCR technology to support use cases for education, workforce, and economic development.
The Ohio Cyber Range Institute (OCRI), housed at the University of Cincinnati on behalf of the state of Ohio, provides administration of the Ohio Cyber Range (OCR) in advancement of the OCR’s mission as a cyber security education, workforce, and economic development platform. OCRI leads and supports more than sixteen regional programming centers around the state. The OCR is a state-wide technology resource that supports programming for K-20 courses and events; full-spectrum training opportunities, including incident response teams; industry workforce and economic development; cyber security research; as well as government agency support among other programs. The position is housed in the School of Information Technology (SoIT) and integrates with its mission and planning. The position works within the OCRI governing structure and reports to the OCRI Executive Staff Director and the unit head.
