Clinical Nurse Specialists are Master’s Degree prepared advanced practice Registered Nurses in roles characterized by the following responsibilities:

Clinical Nurse Specialists assess, plan, provide and evaluate specialized nursing care of patients by advancing the quality and scope of nursing practice through clinical practice, education, research, consultation, and administrative roles in the area of clinical expertise (e.g., diabetes, cardiology, respiratory, pediatrics, etc.) for a specified patient population.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center We are a fast-paced unit that delivers approximately 5,200 babies a year. We provide patient-centered care ranging from minimal medical intervention to the management of patients with complications such as diabetes, preeclampsia, and placental disorders. The unit has 14 LDRs, 3 operating rooms, a 5 bed PACU and an 8 bay OB/GYN triage. We are team that prides ourselves in clinical expertise, professional engagement and personal accountability.
A Nurse Specialist would be dedicated to data management, quality and safety of the perinatal population, and education to a nursing team. The candidate will be accountable for collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost effective, evidenced based care strategies.
Masters degree in Nursing required.
