POSITION SUMMARY: Facilitate the admissions process (from inquiry to confirmed) either at Moravian Theological Seminary of Lancaster Theological Seminary by maintaining continuous contact with prospective students and managing their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database records. Execute a comprehensive recruitment plan using available resources to meet targeted enrollment goals for all programs of study. Stay current on industry and campus news that could impact the prospective student. Represent and promote Moravian and Lancaster Seminaries in a variety of forums, creating relationships with college counselors, chaplains, denominational leaders, alumni, current students, faculty, staff, and others who can identify prospective students. One Admissions Counselor will work on each seminary campus (Bethlehem and Lancaster), each reporting to the Senior Director of Joint Seminary Enrollment and Financial Aid. Each Counselor will work primarily from one campus but need to travel periodically between the two campuses. Director of Admissions
New Brunswick Theological Seminary
New Brunswick Theological Seminary is seeking a collaborative and experienced admissions professional to bring their proven record of accomplishment to the Director of Admissions position at NBTS. The Director of Admissions is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of new students to NBTS. This position uses a market and data driven approach to create a comprehensive annual recruitment plan to recruit and enroll domestic and international graduate students that leads to the attainment of the seminary’s enrollment management goals. Reporting to the Vice President of Advancement and Recruitment, this position acts as the primary recruiter for NBTS: providing admissions information to prospective students, leading information sessions, collaborating in creating recruitment materials, and representing the Seminary at virtual and in-person conferences.
The Director cultivates and manages existing community and church partnerships with the goal of expanding the reach of NBTS’s recruitment. The Director executes a strategy to target recruitment efforts, cultivate existing community partnerships, establish new partnerships to diversify recruitment pool, ensure a robust recruitment pipeline, and foster NBTS’s recognition in the community.
The Director must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with faculty, students, alumni, staff, and administrators. The Director must be mission-driven and committed to working at a seminary with diverse students. Familiarity with Christian ministry is required. Work schedule includes days, evenings, and some weekends particularly during peak recruiting periods. Position is currently remote due to pandemic but will shift to face-to-face/in-person when safe. Travel within the state, valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle required.

Academic Marketing Manager

This position serves as the marketing manager for WJK’s religious academic books and books for clergy. The academic marketing manager is responsible for overseeing the final packaging of new books (cover, title, marketing copy, etc) and the development and implementation of marketing plans for those products.

Responsibilities include:
• Work with an internal team to determine the best cover, title, and specifications for upcoming academic books.
• Write marketing copy and advertising copy.
• Create and execute marketing plans. These plans should be designed to generate sales and maximize exposure to the target audience through the use of multiple strategies and tactics, including social media, advertising, direct media pitches, etc.
• Work on catalogs, ads, and direct mail, with design and marketing team, as required for the audience and seasonal lists.
• Communicate regularly with authors regarding marketing.
• Collaborate with WJK editors on current and potential projects.
• Develop lists of religious-study faculty and communicate directly with professors regarding textbook review and adoption for appropriate titles.
• Serve as the publicist for new religious academic and clergy books, seeking speaking engagements and fielding media inquiries as appropriate.
• Engage in regular research into the religious academic market to better help position WJK’s books for success.
• Assist the marketing team in finding innovative and creative ways to discover new audiences for WJK and new ways to reach existing audiences.
• Occasionally represent the press at trade shows and other events.
• Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate theological study strongly preferred.
• Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the mainline Protestant tradition.
