This position has routine contact with clients to obtain and provide information, make presentations, provide advice, and discuss options and needs. The Senior HR Consultant should be detail oriented and have a deep understanding of Human Resources practices and regulations. Travel may be required as part of the assigned responsibilities.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have advanced administrative and technical skills in one or more of the areas listed above; an understanding of the role of a consultant (internal and external); familiarity with organizational structure and Human Resources operations; strong analytic and problem resolution skills; and excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working in human resources in the public sector is highly desirable.

Minimum Qualifications
Successful applicants will have any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities. A typical way to demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities would be:

Education

Possession of the equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources And

Experience

Four (4) years of Human Resources professional experience. Human Resources experience in public sector or non-profit is highly desirable.

Professional certifications, such as IPMA-CP, IPMA-CS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CCP, WRIPAC, NxtGOV are preferred.
