Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation The Case Manager role ensures that Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation clients living with HIV/AIDS have access to necessary resources to support engagement in health care services.<... br>These resources include: food, housing, food, medical services, behavioral health, drug & alcohol, and legal services. The case manager is responsible for supporting eligible community members and engaging them in service planning, offering education, counseling, and helpful referrals to support engagement in health care, and overall well being. The Case Manager will provide non-medical case management services to eligible clients in Western PA counties, primarily Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. This is a full time position and will report to the Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation leadership team.

Virtual jobs aren't for everyone, but they work really well for some. You'll need a quiet, private space to work out of that has fast, reliable internet. You'll set your own schedule, keeping in mind that clients often need to be seen outside of their work and school schedules. You'll be on time to your appointments. Clients emotional states can shift quickly when voice practice triggers dysphoria- you'll need to be always present with the client to help them however they need. If you're not already skilled at gender & identity affirming voice training, you'll be ready to put in the time to learn how to do the work well. We have the resources to teach you, and have very high expectations so we know our clients are being served well. You'll learn how to document and bill for sessions, and develop your own system for making sure everything gets done the same day you see clients.
ASHA CCCs and Texas speech language pathologist licensure are required. Not required but desired is experience with voice rehab and singing voice training.

Essential personal qualities include reliability, compassion, patience, comfortable talking to new people, good communication skills (written, verbal, visual), legible cursive handwriting, organized, comfortable working both independently and with a team, a thick skin, basic math skills, and teachable. Tasks would be set but varied, including customer service, bookkeeping, answering phones, editing video content, data entry, social media, sorting emails, in-person filing/shredding, and more. Not required but would allow for more understanding of our client's needs is personal experience with modifying your own voice.
