As the Philanthropy Manager, you will oversee and manage the back-office functions of the development team and oversee several fundraising programs for the CAF, including the grant, direct mail and planned giving programs. You will collaborate with the Chief Relationship Officer and other leadership in setting team goals and planning and managing budgets. Working across the organization, you will gather appropriate information to prepare and edit materials to ensure they are clear, accurate and concise. The ability to write persuasively and to clearly communicate our organization’s programs and mission that results in funding, is key. You will manage and direct external contractors and vendors that support several of our fundraising programs.
This individual is a member of the Development Office, reports to the Chief Relationship Officer and has one to three direct reports.

Database Manager

The Data Manager oversees the organization’s database for fundraising, membership, ticketing and events, ensuring a high-level of data integrity. Responsible for building relationships across the organization with individuals that use the CRM (Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge), including Development, Member Services, and Finance, and helping individuals in each department develop the skills and knowledge to “own” their components within the CRM. Creates best practices for data entry processes, oversees data clean up, and trains staff on the CRM. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with optimal data structures, creating and implementing feeds to and from systems, and creating complex queries and exports of data from our CRM and overseeing the relational structure of the CRM with supportive technologies (FundRazr, Event Brite, MailChimp, etc). Partners with Finance to reconcile donor gifts and pledges between CRM and Financial Edge and ensures tools work effectively together. This role also provides key business analytics that guide philanthropic and fundraising strategies. Researches and analyzes donor and prospect information and prepares appropriate reports. Participates in, and responsible for, other data driven projects that support fundraising activities. Assists with developing fundraising collateral, planning events, responding to donor and prospect inquiries, and various fundraising activities. Provides back-up to other members of the team, including being cross trained on key activities to ensure continuity. Performs other duties as assigned. This individual is a member of the Development Office and reports to the Chief Relationship Officer (CRO).
