Systems Network Administrator
City of Lancaster The Systems Network Administrator is responsible for all network and server infrastructure components, ensuring they are in proper working condition. They are the lead resource in resolving any network, or application performance problems as well as resolving issues in case of any hardware/software failures. They create file systems and manage network communication. Part of the Systems Network Administrator requirements include being responsible for taking care of the backup and recovery policy. The Systems Network Administrator role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. The Systems Network Administrator updates the new version of OS and application software, along with executing the policies for the use of the computer system and network. The Systems Network Administrator sets up security policies for users and taking care of identity management.

and coordinating fire activities. Qualified candidates should have a minimum of five years of
experience in a supervisory role in a career or combination fire department at the rank of
Company Officer or above, including experience in emergency management and managing
special projects; possess Firefighter II, Fire Instructor II (III preferred), and Officer III (IV
preferred), EMT-B or Paramedic certification, valid PA Class C Driver’s license (CDL
preferred); and have comprehensive knowledge of current fire/rescue techniques and services
and safety codes. B.A./B.S. degree in related field required (a combination of education and
experience could be considered in lieu of). Successful candidate must reside within a 10-minute
response time within six months of hire, possess a valid PA Driver’s License or have ability to
obtain one within 30 days of hire, and be able to obtain any missing qualification within a
reasonable period of time. Post offer physical and drug screen required.
