AeroBarrier Install Technician

Silver Maple Construction/Zone 6 Energy is hiring for: AeroBarrier installation technician, lead position. This is a chance to be directly involved with one of the most exciting new air sealing technologies in the construction industry (search ‘AeroBarrier’ if you haven’t heard of it yet).
The first ~6 months of the job will consist of mentored training covering all aspects of the position. Based in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, this job will require occasional travel to job sites around New England and northern NY. Compensation includes significant benefits available for the right full time candidate (health, dental, vision insurance; 401k with company match; earned paid time off; paid holidays) in addition to competitive wages and an excellent work environment as part of one of Vermont’s most dynamic construction companies.
Minimum requirements:
1. Clean driver’s license, and willingness/ability to drive a full-size pickup and construction trailer to all sorts of cramped job sites.
2. Excellent, independent work ethic & willingness to learn.
3. Interest in engaging directly with the leading edge of building science and building energy code requirements.
Bonus points for:
- Previous experience with AeroBarrier or AeroSeal
- Previous carpentry/building experience
- Any building science-related certifications (BPI, LEED, HERS, ResNET, phius, AIA, etc)
