Job Title:  Director of Admissions and Financial Aid

Department:  Programs Team

Reports To:  Dean of the Seminary

FLSA Status:  Exempt


SUMMARY

Oversees the Seminary’s program for recruiting, admitting and assisting with retention for all academic programs. Directs the Seminary’s Financial Aid services, interfacing with Advancement regarding Scholarships, and with outside service providers and Registrar regarding student loans. Collaborate within an enrollment management system and must understand the nature of current trends in graduate theological education, international F1 policies as well as have a commitment to enrolling students for the Progressive Christian movement.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

As a member of the Programs Team, reports to the Dean of the Seminary and collaborates with Admissions’ recruiters to develop and manage the recruitment plan for the various for-credit academic programs of the Seminary that supports the school in relation to a living strategic plan and mission.  

Develops and oversees strategies that sustain relationships with persons admitted for study until the time of their initial enrollment in a degree program.

Directs the Seminary’s Financial Aid services, packaging and communicating student aid

Finds and secures scholarships beyond the institution and in collaboration with the student as an act of justice and compassion.

Ensure compliance with all relevant domestic and international regulatory and accreditation requirements

Cultivates among the Seminary’s constituencies a sense of the church’s responsibility to call out persons who are gifted for ministry and ready to imagine theologically within community.  

Oversees programs works directly with the dean

Collaborates with visioning, creation and implementation of both online, social media, and printed materials
