Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and evaluate the processes and procedures assigned to the residential department. Provide necessary training, development, evaluation, and organizational management of the residential personnel. Manage the department workflow and assess the material and technical needs. Develop and maintain reports for statistical data and work production. Assist in the development and updating of the Appraisal Manual, Reappraisal Plan, and Mass Appraisal Report. Review and maintain residential cost schedules, neighborhood schedules, and the development of new schedules. Assist property owners and agents with inquiries and protests and work with the legal department on lawsuits. Represent the District as needed in ARB hearings. Assist with Property Value Study and MAP Review. Prepare an annual departmental operating budget. Perform quality control checks. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Deputy Chief of Appraisal and the Chief Appraiser.
