Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program Coordinator

Division and has the following responsibilities:
Coordinate on a statewide basis the continuation and expansion/growth of the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SMP) including maintaining program files, updating websites and updating other program information that needs to be disseminated. Schedules and trains Market Managers and Distribution Agencies on the use and acceptance of Kentucky's SFMNP E-Solution benefits.
• Review and monitor the E-Solutions online dashboard daily, providing assistance and intervention as required. This includes monitoring the activities of the farmers to be sure they are operating in the approved area and monitor SFMNP participants to ensure they stay compliant with USDA federal guidelines for purchases made with the benefits.

Review Farmers Markets, Farmers and Distribution Agencies on a yearly basis for compliance with USDA regulation and the state plan.
• Collect and record program data for program reports and retention in compliance with state and federal program requirements
Reconcile daily and monthly producer and county redemption rates and approve
invoices.
Provide daily technical assistance to Market Managers and Distribution Agencies by conducting farmer application review, senior client application review, reconciliation of SFMNP funding spent on a daily basis, monitoring emails and phone calls pertaining to the SFMNP program on a daily basis.
This is a federally funded time-limited (FFTL) position. This means it is a position that is paid entirely as the result of a federal grant. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification. Further, an employee appointed to an FFTL position is designated as an unclassified (non- merit) employee: An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.
