MANAGING DIRECTOR, TRANSGENIC ANIMAL MODELING CORE

University of Michigan's Biomedical Research Core Facilities (BRCF) - housed within the Medical School Office of Research - is seeking a motivated and experienced scientist to lead the Transgenic Animal Model Core (Transgenic Core) as Managing Director. The incoming Transgenic Core Managing Director will assume direction of a highly experienced team, which serves the needs of University of Michigan's extensive research community.
Having created thousands of mouse and rat models since its inception in 1989, the Transgenic Core is one of the oldest and most productive research cores at the University of Michigan and enjoys a longstanding international reputation of leadership and excellence. The incoming Managing Director, in partnership with the BRCF leadership team, will shape the future of the Core to ensure that it continues to produce transgenic animal models with cutting-edge technology for a diverse and growing group of research scientists and physicians.

Training Coordinator / Senior Laboratory Technician

Adjunct Pool-Animal Science

The department of Animal Science is searching for adjuncts to teach one or more sections of the following: Animal Anatomy and Physiology
lecture or laboratories, Animal Feeding and Nutrition lecture and/or laboratories (requires knowledge of ration balancing and appropriate computer software), Principles of Animal Nutrition laboratories, Livestock Evaluation lecture and laboratory and Poultry Science lecture and laboratory. Appropriate candidates must possess at minimum a B.S. in Animal Science or a related discipline, M.S. or Ph.D. /D.V.M. preferred. Knowledge of one of the listed disciplines either through graduate work and/or industry experience is a must. Previous teaching experience is a plus.
