Coordinator, Crisis Response, Educational Services
Orange County Department of Education (OCDE)
OCDE’s Educational Services Division is currently seeking a dynamic professional to serve as Coordinator, Crisis Response. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with OCDE staff, district leaders, and community agencies to expand prevention and early intervention services to districts. The Coordinator’s primary purpose is to improve the coordination of existing mental health and crisis response services across the behavioral health and educational systems for all students enrolled in Orange County public school systems.

Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in mental health, counseling, psychology, social work, marriage, and family therapy, or a related field.

Experience: Five (5) years of experience providing school-age and/or school-based mental health services, including at least two years of experience in a leadership role related to school-based mental health, education, or social service.

Credential: A valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential.

A valid CA license or registered associate to practice as a Marriage & Family Therapist, Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, or Farsi preferred.

American Humane is hiring a Major Gifts Officer – West Coast. As a Major Gifts Officer at American Humane, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a portfolio of significant contributors, primarily focusing on individuals capable of making five-figure or higher donations. Your primary responsibility will be to cultivate relationships with major gift prospects and donors, ensuring new and/or continued engagement and support for American Humane’s mission.

Preferred qualifications: ​

Proven fundraising track record with experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-level donors.​
Demonstrated proficiency in computer technology including applications for project and data management and electronic calendars (Raiser’s Edge, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook preferred). Ability to quickly learn software specific to the department or institution.
Conduct oneself with confidence on phone calls, video chats, and in-person donor meetings.​
Strong written (including proofreading and editing) and oral communication skills, including the ability to briefly summarize the essence of issues and means to address them. Use appropriate grammar in verbal or written form.
Location: West Coast preferred. Must be within 1 hour of a major airport.
