Perform quantity takeoffs as required. Request, receive, and evaluate major equipment and subcontractor quotes as required. Review quantities and totals for pricing.
Seek cost effective methods of construction used by field staff and project managers for inclusion in future estimates.
Secure most favorable material and other cost quotations.
Become proficient with the company’s estimating software. Check calculations and compile them to point of proposal. Use company proprietary labor and material database when preparing estimates
Assist in RFP proposal responses.

Site Assistant
Midwest Renewable Energy Association
The Site Assistant is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and development of the facility, equipment, vehicles, and grounds of the MREA main office and property in Custer, Wisconsin. The property consists of an office building, training building, storage shed, multiple training and demonstration systems as well as 65 acres of property, which includes 40 acres of seasonal campsites. The site has active solar electric, wind, and solar thermal installations that provide heat and power to the facility and that also serve for training and demonstration.

In addition, the Site Assistant works closely with the Site Manager and the events staff to prepare and manage the site for The 32nd Annual Energy Fair, including permitting coordination, rentals, and campground preparation, as well as Move Some Earth Day and Brisk Fall Clean Up Day. The Site Assistant also works with the MREA training team to ensure that tools, equipment, and transportation are maintained and organized as appropriate and works proactively to ensure the campus is safe for all training and events.

Solar Installer Crew Leader

Crew Leaders manage a small crew of solar installers where they delegate tasks to maximize efficiency, provide quality control of the team’s work, and are responsible for the maintenance and allocation of the tools and materials needed to execute each project. Crew Leaders set an example for safety, attention to detail, and organization while they proactively develop crewmembers by setting them up for success and encouraging them to grow their skills.
Utility Solar - Vegetation Management Site Leader

The Vegetation Management Site Leader will be responsible for performing land stewardship work at solar fields and/or other energy company properties throughout Wisconsin. Each Site Leader will be assigned to a newly established utility-scale solar site for the duration of the growing season (May-October).

Jefferson - 1 position available

The position is full-time seasonal between approximately May 1st – October 31st 2023. Highly qualified and interested individuals may be eligible for year-round employment. All work occurs first-shift Monday through Friday and generally totals 35-45 hours per week, but exact hours may be influenced by weather conditions. Come join the solar world and our amazing team! A Solar System Installer will require the following skill set and would be suitable for individuals holding the following qualifications / experiences:

- Mechanically inclined
- Carpentry and framing skills
- Knowledge of methods, materials and tools

Physical Requirements:

Renewable SCADA / IT Specialist

I am currently recruiting for a Renewable Network Specialist for my team to be based out of Madison, WI. This position is responsible for supporting the SCADA systems at Renewable Generation facilities throughout Wisconsin. Support includes the design, implementation, and commissioning of systems at new facilities, ongoing operational support, and replacements/retrofits of existing facilities. The Renewable Network Specialist on SCADA Engineer/Specialist would focus primarily on Alliant Energy Solar, Wind, and Battery facilities, but may also provide support at times in Hydro Generation and other types of Generation facilities.

I am seeking candidates with strong IT and/or SCADA backgrounds with a passion for Solar power in Wisconsin; this position's primary focus will be on the deployment and support of utility-scale transmission-connected solar facilities being constructed by Alliant Energy in the state of Wisconsin.
