Program Manager, Policy and Sustainability
AASHTO
The Program Manager, Policy and Sustainability manages technical and policy activities related to transportation resilience and sustainability, under the supervision of the Program Director for Environment.

The Program Manager, Policy and Sustainability monitors, gathers, synthesizes, and communicates information on resilience and sustainability policy, legislative, regulatory, and technical matters to the AASHTO membership. The incumbent also assists with the review of proposed federal action and policy development related to resilience and sustainability.

Under the direction of the Program Director for Environment, the Program Manager is responsible for planning and facilitation of AASHTO programs, projects, and committee activities. These activities include organizing and facilitating regular committee and sub-committee conference calls and meetings, assisting with planning and convening of trainings, workshops, webinars, and AASHTO meetings, and monitoring budgets. Further, the incumbent may conduct further detailed research, including conducting surveys and tabulating results, supporting efforts to enhance the state of practice of state DOTs, receiving and responding to inquiries from members and the public, and managing committee and technical service websites.

Finally, the Program Manager develops and maintains professional relationships with individuals and organizations in the transportation community, including associations, government agencies, academia, and the private sector. The incumbent may represent and promote AASHTO’s policy goals in meetings, task forces and workshops, as directed by the Program Director.

Director of Operations
The Director of Operations serves as lead program manager, coordinating all client projects and business forecasting. This position reports directly to the CEO of Launch and collaborates regularly as part of the Leadership Team. Responsibilities include:
• Managing company operations in collaboration with the CEO Leadership Team
• Coordinating project schedules, budgets, and staff workload
• Tracking, forecasting, and reporting on company revenues, expenses, and cash flow
• Supporting project managers in leading project delivery, including managing professional client interface, tracking project schedule and budget to stay on target, managing team members assisting with project delivery, and preparing project deliverables
• Attending virtual team meetings, project management meetings, and business development meetings held weekly
• Providing quality control reviews of documents and products
• Developing programs and projects which inspire employees and support staff development
• Participating in planning for company growth
• Communicating on a regular basis with the CEO regarding projects and employee or client needs
• Occasional travel
Additional responsibilities may include:
• Leading interactive client/internal meetings, workshops, and trainings
• Technical contributions to projects
• Grant writing and project management for clients
Required skills/experience:

The Consulting Specialist contributes to client projects, including supporting client meetings and assisting in the development of deliverables. These include climate resilience projects, risk assessments, emergency plans, trainings, tabletop exercise design, supporting grant development, requests for information, etc. This role also supports Launch internal projects such as business proposal development, facilitating client outreach, assisting team members with projects, and other functions as needed.
