Professional Engineers license required.

Project Controls Analyst - St. Thomas

DESCRIPTION

The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for overseeing and tracking the schedule and cost associated with construction projects that have been carried out in support of the Virgin Islands Port Authority’s (the Authority’s) Capital Improvement Program. Work carried out under this position involves responsibility for accurate recordkeeping relating to the project schedule and timelines, invoices and expenditures, and regulatory compliance for active construction projects, ranging in size from a few thousand to multi-million dollars, in the Authority’s portfolio. The ideal candidate exercises considerable independent judgment in utilizing project controls and construction administration best practices and adhering to all laws, policies, and procedures of the Authority, the US Virgin Islands, and all applicable funding agencies.

This employee will be a member of the Authority’s Engineering Division, working alongside Authority employees, local and federal government agencies, technical consultants, and construction contractors in support of a wide variety of technical support, planning, engineering design, and construction tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)

Keep accurate records of project invoices and expenditures for internal and external reporting;
Forecast construction schedule and invoices for active and proposed construction projects;
Support discussions with construction contractors and technical consultants relating to schedule and cost;
Review project schedules for technical concurrence and perform periodic inspections of construction work for forecasting of schedule impacts;
Create and maintain Capital Improvement Program-wide schedule for the portfolio’s active and proposed construction projects;
