The Kinesiology Program is a strong campus program and is home to all Health, Physical Education, Public Health, and the Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree, which has three concentrations (1) Exercise Science, (2) Fitness and Wellness, and (3) Physical Education and Health. The Kinesiology Program trains evidence-based leaders and practitioners in the sub-fields of Kinesiology according to ACSM and NSCA standards, preparing students to meet the needs of individuals who are healthy, at risk, or who have known disease(s). The Kinesiology degree competitively prepares students to pursue advanced graduate degrees in disciplines such as athletic training, physical therapy, public health, occupational therapy, fitness and wellness, and allied health professions.

Teaching undergraduate courses related to exercise science, athletic training, and Health and wellness promotion (e.g., introduction to exercise science, prevention, and care of athletic injuries, applied strength and conditioning, wellness programming and administration, health coaching).

Assistant or Associate Professor in Exercise Physiology

Position Summary:

The Health Sciences program at Franklin Pierce University, the College of Health & Natural Science in Rindge, NH, seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Health Sciences - Exercise Physiology. This is a full-time 9-month appointment commencing in the 2024-2025 academic year.

This position is responsible for teaching courses including Exercise Physiology, Strength and Conditioning, and Clinical Exercise Physiology. Additionally, this faculty position will contribute to the development of the curriculum of the Health Sciences Program, as well as serve as the primary advising faculty for the certificate in Exercise Physiology, which aligns with the American College of Sports Medicine’s certification. The faculty may also participate in teaching other courses, including First-Year Experience, and Biology and Health Sciences Seminar. In addition, this faculty will also be expected to utilize the resources of the Exercise Physiology/Cardiovascular and Respiratory research lab for student and faculty research projects.
