This role is a challenging and rewarding full-time position with an office located in AWUM’s emergency shelter, House of Peace. • Provide immediate crisis intervention and safety planning via telephone for Family
Violence/Stalking/Dating Violence victims.
• Perform the intake...  process and assess potential clients’ legal needs following NFS legal assistance guidelines and assign cases to attorneys accordingly.
• Coordinate with attorneys any assistance needed for representing clients for TPO hearings and accompany clients to TPO hearing if needed.
• Assist attorneys and clients in gathering evidence for TPO proceedings.
• Assist clients in completing TPO Petition if needed or refer clients to the appropriate legal advocacy office in the counties served by NFS.
• Assist clients in completing the Domestic-Relations-Financial-Affidavit (DRFA).
• Track progress of legal case from initiation to completion and close files when deemed
appropriate by legal staff.
• Make referrals on behalf of clients to partner agencies for services.
• Request exit survey from clients and upload it to the database.
• Share Client Handbook with clients and answer questions.
• Represent agency at conferences and community domestic violence task force meetings, including outreach opportunities.

• Work supportively and cooperatively with staff.
• Perform any additional duties that may be deemed reasonable and necessary by the
Executive Director or administrative office.

Compensation:
